The flame for the longer run
This year I didn’t buy anything metallic. Just one of those superstitions - the day before or two days before Diwali. In order to attract more metals (read gold). The logic is flawed of course. But then, these are superstitions.
This year, with all of the upheavals, I just did not feel like it. We will see - what has to happen will happen and will be dealt with, I guess. Just the way I have been dealing with these last couple of utterly fuckall years.

We lit tea lights on each corner of the house and in general, wherever we felt like it. My desk is in a corner so one tea light was left on it.
It took a while for this light to catch on and qualitatively, it was the weakest flame among the forty or so tea lights that we set up. I sat at my desk and gave the wick some nudge - nothing changed. I headed out for Yoga instead. When I returned, most of the lights were out. The one on my desk was one of the few that were still at it.

With all loveliness going on, today the internet died on me for some reason. I am surprised that kind of a thing still happens. Got edits done for two chapters as a result. This time, I am relatively more satisfied. How much left to go?
