Clenching

You donate your life. Give it all you have. Only out of your own sincerity. And because you wanted to. Because that is how you are. Honest.

Only one day, to turn around and realise all other paths disappeared. There is no one to turn to. No where else to go.

And then, they ask, ‘I didn’t tell you to do all this’.

Then, you feel the stab. And the stiffness of your neck. The clenching of your facial muscles. And the realisation. What can you do now anyway. You sit through their version of the balance sheet. You are now the only liability.
